When I Was A Cowboy, Vol. 1

A collection of classic recordings from the 1920's and 30's. These transfers from the original 78's were recorded when many of these singers still had close personal ties to the heyday of the cowboy. Artists include Carl Sprague, Jules Allen, the Cartwright Brothers, Buell Kazee, Harry McClintock, Ken Maynard and many more.

Currently available only on CD, each volume contains 23 selections with notes, lyrics and photos. While it takes a discerning ear to listen to the old 78's, these rare recordings will be valuable additions to the serious collector's music library.
